Your outdoor portrait photoshoot doesnt have to feel awkward

Okay, these guys hadn’t had family photographs done in years, so a few nerves were floating around from Mum. The kids aren't toddlers anymore, so she was low-key worried about whether the boys would be into it. (And fair enough; I've experienced my own awkward photo experiences growing up, so we do EVERYTHING possible to avoid anything feeling stiff and weird A.K.A awkward)

But they showed up with beers, banter, and a i'll give-it-a-go attitude and I knew we were in for a good time.

From the start, they brought this relaxed, playful energy that made everything easy. No big performance. No fussing over perfect outfits. Just showing up as themselves, and honestly? That’s always when the magic happens.

We kept it super simple with basic movement prompts that maybe felt silly at first, but got them laughing and out of their heads.

I'm all about inspiring smiles, so your photos feel natural - we don't want anything to feel forced or lame.

Just genuine connection, a few cheeky sibling digs, and plenty of moments that felt like them.

They were keen to try whatever, didn’t overthink it, and that made all the difference.

We ended up with photos that weren’t just nice to look at; they had personality, and they felt like their family.

When I look back through their gallery, I see the coolest, down-to-earth family having heaps of fun together. These are the kinds of photos where you can almost hear the banter and remember the exact energy of that afternoon.
